Dive into Learning: No Bag Day Brings NEP Vision to Life

BWS LOHARDAGA, 9th May 2026 

Living up to NEP 2020’s goal of joyful, experiential learning, our school celebrated No Bag Day today with a Water Activity theme to beat the summer heat.

The morning began with a life-skills session where students brought dirty socks and handkerchiefs from home. They learned to wash, rinse, and wring them properly, gaining hands-on lessons in hygiene and self-reliance — key competencies NEP encourages beyond textbooks.

The fun continued with team-based water games that built coordination and sportsmanship. In the Palm-to-Palm Water Relay, students passed water using only their palms to fill a bucket, with Cypress House winning. The Musical Chair – Water Balloon Edition had everyone laughing; players were out if the balloon popped while sitting. Acacia House won for Seniors and Cedar House for Juniors.

By blending play, practical skills, and teamwork, No Bag Day truly reflected NEP’s vision of holistic development. The day ended with soaked uniforms, proud smiles, and lessons that will last longer than any classwork.

"Hearts Full of Gratitude: A Day to Honour Our Helping Hands"

The school campus came alive on 2nd May 2026 with smiles, music, and gratitude as we celebrated a special event dedicated to our Non-Teaching Staff — the backbone of our school.

The programme began with a soulful prayer, setting a peaceful and positive tone for the day. This was followed by a heartfelt welcome of the Non-Teaching Staff, honouring their tireless efforts and unwavering support.

The School Choir enchanted everyone with a melodious song, spreading cheer across the hall. Adding to the festive spirit, the Primary students lit up the stage with a colourful dance performance that drew loud applause.

A moving speech was delivered to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of our Non-Teaching Staff, whose work often goes unseen but never unnoticed. The Middle School students then took over with an energetic dance, keeping the energy high.

A sincere Vote of Thanks was proposed, expressing appreciation to all who contributed to the event’s success. The celebration turned even more lively with fun games organized for the staff, filling the venue with laughter and joy.

The day concluded on a sweet note with a gifting ceremony. Each member of the Non-Teaching Staff was presented with a gift and sweet box as a small token of our immense gratitude.

The event beautifully reflected the school’s spirit of togetherness and respect. It was truly a day to celebrate the real heroes who keep our school running smoothly every single day.
